Certificate IV in Hairdressing

Course Overview: This course is designed and has the materials that will satisfy the requirements of those enthusiastic people, who are aiming to build a career in the hairdressing industry. It is also groomed for people who wish to be a skilled senior hairdresser who can use a range of highly developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of hairdressing services to clients.

  • Duration: Duration will be varied
  • Funding: This quali­fication is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding to eligible candidates.
  • Course fee: Tuition fees- $5922 ($0 for eligible Skills First Funding applicants)
  • Prerequisite:  This qualification ‘SHB40216 ­ Certificate IV in Hairdressing’ has formal pre requisites for entry and is open to those who qualify who are interested in pursuing or enhancing a career in the Hairdressing industry.

    Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who have:

    • achieved a Certificate III in Hairdressing (or equivalent); and
    • At least one-year post qualification full time employment experience as a hairdresser in a salon environment where they have applied the skills and knowledge covered in the above (or equivalent) qualification.

  • Entry Requirements : You will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test and formal interview with one of the qualified Trainers and Assessors to establish whether this course is the correct qualification for your career path and job prospects.
